This mattress, which we have carefully created and is made in the UK, will provide superior comfort and excellent support. It is probably the plushest mattress available in the UK nursery sector today, there is nothing quite comparable. As its name suggests - it's fit for royalty - little princes & princesses!

The ultra plush feel of this sumptuous mattress results from the luxurious layers of natural fibres such as cashmere, wool and silk and other natural fibres that are layered into its creation. No detail is left overlooked on this mattress. It comes complete with two outer covers – one made with Bamboo fabric, the other with XStatic silver fibre.

The mattress can be used on both sides and the filling is made up as follows:

Top Layer     -        1 cm. a blend of Pure New Wool / Cashmere / Silk

2nd Layer      -        1.5 cm. Natural Latex Medium firmness

3rd Layer       -        5 cm. Natural Coir

4th Layer       -        1.5 cm. Natural Latex Medium firmness

Bottom Layer -        1 cm. a blend of Pure New Wool  / Cashmere / Silk

The entire mattress pad is then covered in a cotton stockinette wrap and a waterproof protective slip is also included upon request. The mattress comes complete with two top of the range covers, both of which are easily removed for washing at 60 degrees. The mattress covers have bound edges creating extra durability.

Cover number one is made from natural Bamboo fabric. Cover number two is made from our intelligent XStatic silver fibre fabric. The covers are zipped all the way around which makes it very easy to remove for washing.

Coconut fibre is collected from the coconut husk. Once transformed into sheets, it is used in products such as our mattresses, providing excellent ventilation. The sheets are also sprayed with natural latex to provide both rigidity and elasticity. The coir fibre is very tough. It is elastic and strong, and it hardly deteriorates at all over time. The fibre provides good temperature management for mattresses.

Pure new wool curls naturally. Wool can absorb twice as much moisture as cotton can, and 30 times as much as polyester! Wool has naturally high flame resistance because of its low flammability. Products made from pure new wool do not cause allergies. New wool absorbs moisture from the surroundings, stopping fungal growth and so breaking the food chain that house mite depends on.

For centuries, silk has had a reputation as a luxurious and sensuous fabric that is associated with wealth and success. Silk is one of the oldest fibres known to man. The Chinese have used it since the 27th century BC. Silk is mentioned by Aristotle and became a valuable commodity both in Greece and Rome. In the Roman Empire, silk was literally worth its weight in gold. The unique production process adds to the mystery and exclusiveness of the fabric. It takes 5500 silkworms to produce one kilogram of raw silk.

Cashmere is the wool or fur of the Kashmir goat. Kashmir goats are primarily raised in Mongolia, but many are bred in Iran, Tibet, India and China. American herders have also joined the international cashmere production market in recent years. The fibres are highly adaptable and are easily transformed into fine or thick yarns, and light to heavyweight fabrics. The high moisture content allows insulation properties to change with the relative humidity in the air.

Natural latex:
Natural latex feels extremely soft and supportive. It is antimicrobial, and resists mould and dust mites. Natural latex is a natural renewable material. 100% pure natural latex is inherently hypo-allergenic, anti-microbial and dust-mite-resistant, making it perfect for allergy sufferers or anyone simply wanting their child to breathe fresh, clean air while they sleep. In addition, natural latex is breathable, keeping the child warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. Latex comes from the hevea brasiliensis, or the rubber tree. It is the most naturally, durable, cushioning material available. So while it might cost a little more initially, latex will provide your child with the perfect balance of comfort and support for years to come.

Bamboo (mattress cover number one):
Bamboo fibre is a green natural fibre can be used in many areas, such as home textiles, bedding, underwear, sports wear, etc. Finished products from bamboo fibre have become popular in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, the US and Europe. The microstructure of bamboo fibre can enhance the coolness and breathability of bamboo-finished products. Bamboo fibre has unrivalled softness. It absorbs up to four times more moisture than cotton and contains natural antibacterial elements. It also dries extremely quickly. The finish is an unbleached and  natural, very pale cream colour.

X-Static (mattress cover number two):
This Silver Fibre, used in part of our range of baby mattreses, has a layer of pure silver permanently bonded to the surface and woven into the fibres of our mattress covers. The process is such that the fibre, with its silver layer, retains traditional and tactile characteristics as found in traditional mattress coverings yet offers all the benefits known to be inherent to pure silver.  More about XStatic

Mattress covers can be washed at 60 degrees. Use a non-biological detergent. Rinse thoroughly. Slow spin. Leave to dry naturally or cool tumble dry (the zips are plastic and could mis-shape if overheated) No need to iron. Do not dry clean. Please ensure that the mattress cover is completely dry before using. For airing purposes, it is a good idea to regularly turn the mattress.

This is nature's naturally ventilated mattress!
