Working mother woes

Women without kids are less sympathetic than men to mothers trying to juggle a home and a career, according to a survey of 1,500 mothers.

More than half of working mothers said childless women were less understanding of the demands facing them, and that they felt women without children perceived them as enemies to be left behind on the corporate ladder.

The Working Mothers' Report paints a picture of women undermining and undercutting each other, as well as confidence problems for working mothers: 52% said it was easier to blame a faulty alarm clock or heavy traffic rather than admit that child problems had made them late.
