X-Static 10 cm. (4") deep spring interior mattress.

These mattresses are manufactured to the highest standards and are made with the best materials available.

The mattress core is made from mini bonnel steel springs, surrounded by foam & a polyester wadding.

They are fully breathable and have the revolutionary X-Static silver fabric covers which are easily removable for washing. Tape edged & cover easily removed by means of a zip.

The mattress provides a hygienic, anti-allergenic breathable and moisture resistant surface which is wipe clean and washable, but at the same time allows air to pass through the material, reducing perspiration, giving your baby a more comfortable night’s sleep.

ANTI-ODOUR: The mattress cover is made with pure silver which inhibits the growth of any bacteria or dustmites in the baby's mattress. X-Static eliminates 99.9% of bacteria in less than one hour of exposure. Most other anti-microbial fabrics test over 48 hours & still do not reach this level of effectiveness! The hotter & wetter the environment, the more effective X-Static becomes. This is perfect for baby's mattresses as bacteria is more prelevant in moist and warm environments.

THERMODYNAMIC: Silver is a highly reflective and conductive element. As it is woven into this unique mattress covering it will keep baby comfortable in all temperatures. Much like a silver spoon in a cup of hot tea, X-Static will conduct the heat from baby's skin to the ambient air, thereby helping to prevent baby from overheating. FSIDS urge parents to prevent their baby from overheating.

ANTI-STATIC: Silver instantly dispates electrostatic charges. At the present time this is the only baby mattress available in the UK with such properties.

SAFE & NATURAL: X-Static is made with pure silver which is a naturally occurring element. There are no chemicals and no fear of toxicity. Silver is one of the safest substances to babies and has no side effects.

Review / question:	I need a mattress for a wooden crib requiring a mattress size H89 x W38cm. This is for a 5 month baby. Would spring interior be better than foam?

Also the pocket & fully sprung mattress last more years than what a foam mattress would do. Review / question:	my grandaughters bed is 145cm c 77 cm would the mattress to fit be the 142cm c 71cm also is you say the bed is firm. but i want it to be comfortable for her and firm is not always comfortable. and what is the price please thank you
Our comment/answer:	Hi Dianne, When measuring the size for the mattress you need to take 1cm off the length and width of the bed, as you do not want a gap more than 4cm, as the more snug the mattress is the better. The fully sprung mattresses are quite firm, you may be best off going for a pocket sprung mattress as they are individually pocketed and are also softer, and very supportive for your child. The total cost it would be for a 142 x 71 x 10 fully sprung mattress with an X-static cover would be £70.50 and for a pocket sprung with the X-static cover this would cost £132.50.
