Madonna has fuelled speculation she is set to adopt another African child by attending a charity polo match featuring Prince Harry.
The star watched the fundraiser for Sentebale - which seeks to help Aids orphans in Lesotho - in New York with her three-year-old adopted son David Banda.
She has reportedly promised him a sister, but has been rebuffed in her attempts to take four-year-old Mercy James back to the US from Malawi.
However, the singer now looks to be exploring other options - and with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho among the guests at the Veuve Clicquot Manhattan Polo Classic, she may have been hoping to make a positive impression.
The 50-year-old, who recently divorced director Guy Ritchie, also has two biological children of her own - Lourdes and Rocco.
A source close to the songstress said she refuses to give up the battle to adopt Mercy James, but is looking into other countries.
